A gorgeous, thick chunky hexagonal Calcite crystal standing upright on a platy matrix of small and sub-mm Calcite crystals. The display crystal measures 3.4 cm between flats and is a whopping 2 cm thick. The Calcite is almost pure milky-white and although mainly opaque, does transmit a little light when strongly back lit. The prism faces contain lenticular patches of glassy, slightly colourless Calcite. A superb Calcite from the Dal'negorsk mines in Primorsky Kray, in the Far Eastern Region of Russia.
