A tremendous group of well crystallised, deep emerald-bottle-green acicular Brochantite capping a matrix of milky-white Calcite. The Brochantite covers a 3 x 2 x 0.1 cm triangular area, varying from around 0.5 to 1.5 cm deep, with individual crystal sprays reaching 1.2 cm. In the accompanying photographs and under low magnification, sub-mm, granular powder-blue patches and globular clusters can be seen on many of the Brochantite terminations. This is thought most likely to be Linarite, because of the relatively shallow deposition depths of both species and their known association.
