A really excellent specimen of very well crystallised Bournonite (lead-copper antimoniate) from Cavnic mine in Romania. Superb, equant, stubby 'cog-wheels' of approximately 4 to 5 mm on each edge form massed intermeshed 'cogs' and individual crystals scattered over micro-crystallised, lustrous light grey Quartz. Each 'cog' has flat pinacoid terminations and heavily striated prism faces which form the 'cog teeth'. The crystals have a brilliant metallic lustre and are of a uniform silver-grey. A superb Bournonite from Cavnic mine.
