Pale fudge coloured rhombic Siderite crystals protrude from a 'sea' of grey metallic fibres of Boulangerite. Boulangerite is rare in the mines in the Příbram District in the Czech Republic and when it does occur is is usually just a mat of grey metallic fibres infilling cavities or coating surfaces. This small cabinet specimen is unusual in having prominent well-formed Siderite crystals in association, making this a very distinctive piece. When one looks carefully at the display surface the detail is wonderful, dare I say attractive? Texturally, this is a lovely specimen and all the more remarkable to have no damage to either the Siderite crystals, or the Boulangerite which is impossible to clean when it gets dusty. Undoubtedly a historic Příbram specimen and one of significance.
