A fine miniature of a modern day classic. Botallackite, a copper hydroxide chloride species named after the Cornish mine of the same name, was found in exceptionally well-crystallized specimens near to Cligga mine, Cligga Head, Cornwall in the early 21st century. This material is the new standard for Botallackite, still with relatively small crystals, but with specimens draped in beautiful pearlescent blue-green plates and blades. This miniature specimen is a fine representative example, the individual crystals reaching 3 mm in length on a granite matrix.
