Parallel, stacked tabular Borcarite prisms form intergrown books of dirty leaf green to bright bluish peppermint green crystals from the tin-iron skarn-type deposit at Huanggang at Hexigten Banner in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China. The Borcarite, a calcium magnesium borate carbonate, is not attached to any matrix and sitting on it is the occasional, pale bluish crystal of the rare mineral Cahnite, a calcium borate containing arsenic. A splendid small miniature of two rare minerals from the Huanggang Fe-Sn Deposit.
