This small cabinet specimen shows how significant the pegmatite deposits in the northern regions of Pakistan are to world mineralogy. This is not a huge specimen by any means, but the quality is there for all to see. Two gemmy, pale blue prismatic Beryl, var. Aquamarine, crystals of the highest quality gracefully rise up from a contrasting white Feldspar backdrop. The largest crystal is approximately 5 cm in length and has such character. It has delicate natural vertical striations and an intriguing rounded summit with small pinacoid top. The second Aquamarine crystal is narrower, but of a similar length and also shows no sign of damage with excellent transparency and a fine pale blue colour. True gem quality Aquamarine. A stunning display specimen worthy of the finest cabinet. It is from Shengus in the remote Haramosh Mountains.
