Broad, flat tabular Baryte crystals to over 3 cm tall sit in a Calcite lined vug in greenish-fawn marl, a soft calcareous mudstone. The Baryte crystals are glassy with a bright lustre, mainly translucent, but with semi-transparent zones of delicate pale honey grading to subtle duck-egg blue terminations. A splendid specimen from the modern classic locality of Peak Hill at Sidmouth in Devon, England.
