Maine mine at Cordesse in Saône-et-Loire, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France closed in 1986 but was the source of some beautiful honey-coloured bladed Baryte crystals. This very large miniature specimen is pure Baryte - a group of parallel bladed crystals reaching 7 cm in length, the angled base of which is a cleavage surface. These crystals have a fine bright resinous lustre and are in excellent condition.
