A beautiful and delicate coloured miniature of blueish-green Baryte forming 1 mm thick plates is an intergrown cluster from Ojuela mine in Durango, Mexico. Nucleated around a minor matrix of red and brown Limonitic Goethite gossan, the Baryte forms transparent blades of up to 3 x 2.5 cm. Together these create a rose-like display of criss-crossed petals. The specimen is highly aesthetic because of its striking delicate yet bold colour, optical clarity and good quality of crystals. A really lovely specimen from the Ojuela mine.
