Everyone knows that the famous copper mines at Bisbee, in Warren District, Cochise County, Arizona have produced some remarkable Azurite and Malachite specimens but it is only when you see such things in person that you realize just how good they are. For example, the contrast between smooth, velvety-textured, green, bubbly botryoidal Malachite and glistening deep blue flower-like clusters of Azurite crystals on this miniature specimen is phenomenal. It is so pretty and an absolute classic from Bisbee. What is perhaps more staggering is how perfect it is, with the only surface marks coming from natural inclusions of orange iron oxides within the Malachite. A very classy miniature.
