This small cabinet specimen is a really excellent German Arsenopyrite, featuring classic wedge-shaped silvery metallic crystals to about 1.5 cm across rising up through a layer of small white Quartz crystals. A few small glossy black Sphalerite crystals are scattered amongst the Arsenopyrite crystals and a light dusting of finely crystallized beige Calcite sits upon some of the Quartz. It comes from Ehrenfriedersdorf in Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany and was part of the superb German systematic collection assembled by the brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021).
