The ancient copper mines at Lavrion, southeast of Athens, are well-known for growths of white Aragonite in the ancient mine tunnels and galleries. This wonderful larger Aragonite specimen from Lavrion in Greece looks like a foot. It really is a funky specimen and added to its rather weird shape is the input of small, waxy pale greenish-grey Adamite crystals dispersed across the surface along one side of the piece. It would certainly make a great talking point in any collection and if the conversation goes downhill at least you can say you put your foot in it!
