This small cabinet specimen displays micro-crystals of the rare lead selenide (PbSe) Clausthalite distributed over and in an off-cream to brick red mixed Calcite and Dolomite matrix, rich in Hematite. Granular metallic patches are richly distributed over the crest and one side of the matrix the largest patch measuring approximately 5 x 2 cm. All occurrences are metallic black, often with a slight iridescent blue sheen. Two extremely old looking handwritten labels accompany the specimen.
