This slightly strange-shaped, dense, coarsely crystallized dark grey Acanthite with a little enclosed matrix is studded with small (2 to 3 mm) sharp cubes of Acanthite pseudomorphs after Argentite. A single, small hexagonal prismatic crystal of Pyrargyrite is also present. This is a very well-crystallized Acanthite after Argentite from the famous historic silver mining town of Freiberg in Saxony, and remains in very fine overall condition, especially the sharp Acanthite crystals.
