Tuesday Update – Worldwide

TODAY’S specimens have a worldwide feel and are generally tailored to the higher end of collecting, featuring many rarely seen older classics and in the upper levels of quality.

Some of the specimens, like the Native Copper pseudomorph after octahedral Cuprite crystals from the early 21st century finds at Rubtsovskoe Cu-Zn-Pb Deposit are irreplaceable treasures. Another highlight is the historic, centuries-old Pyrargyrite on, and inside, Marcasite or Lollingite, after bubbly, onion-skin textured Native Arsenic from St Andreasberg. The quality of a specimen mined so long ago is phenomenal.

For the more observant of you, you will already have seen that our British website – crystalclassics.co.uk – has changed, with a massive upgrade, bringing it in line with our international branding.

We'd like to say a big thank you to our customers and friends who came to see us at the North Pennines Mineral Expo last weekend. This smaller, local show, based in the charming Weardale village of St John’s Chapel has always been a favourite of ours, especially so when it is just a few miles from the source of our UKMV Fluorite mines. This year's show was exceptional, with sunshine (yes, it does happen there), amazing attendance figures and record sales. Thank you to Enrico Rinaldi and all of the show organizers for their sterling work.

With three weeks until the East Coast Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show in Springfield, MA there is still time for you to request specimens to be brought along for viewing, but please don’t wait too long to ask.
