This specimen is from its type locality at the Francon Quarry in central Montréal, Québec, Canada, a quarry which is now used to dump snow into during the winter months.  Glassy, pale lemon yellow Weloganite crystals form intergrown columns to 2.4 cm tall set amongst steep pyramidal terminations of smoky Quartz.
