This rich miniature-sized specimen comes from perhaps the remotest source of this species - Kvanefjeld Mt, Kuannersuit Plateau, Ilímaussaq complex, Narsaq, Kujalleq, Greenland. There, an adit was driven during 1979-1980 to access and test a uranium and rare earth-rich deposit within which Villiaumite was found in association with the Nepheline-Syenite host rock.
