Discovered in 1988, it took until 2007 for the formal description to be published! This small miniature specimen displays a rich coverage of dark grey metallic Vilhorlatite as spots (to about 2 mm across) in quartzite. Poruba pod Vihorlatom is also the Type Locality for Telluronevskite which is associated with, and looks very similar to Vihorlatite, so is probably also present in this specimen.
