Dominated by a 6 cm tall partially transparent Smoky Quartz with an immaculate sharp pyramidal termination, it is accompanied by four other Quartz crystals, ranging from 2.5 to 1.1 cm in length, all rising up from a layer of granitic matrix. Scattered around the surfaces of the Quartz crystals, and with a concentration nearer to their base, are well-formed burnt-orange to orange-brown Spessartine garnet crystals, the largest to 6 mm across. These crystals, some of which are twinned, are less gemmy than some from Tongbei, but this is caused by fine natural parallel growth lines across their crystal surfaces. These crystals are 'socketed' inside the surface of the Quartz crystals. The main Quartz crystal presents also, a fine wispy area of inclusions inside its transparent termination.
