It is from the Wushan Spessartine mine - reportedly a generic name for a series of pits and quarries near Wushan, Tongbei, from where Spessartine crystals occur in miarolitic cavities in granite. At small cabinet size this piece displays exceptionally well, and is certainly one of the best I have seen from the Tongbei area.
