Discovered in 1972, Schneiderhöhnite is one of the many very rare species Tsumeb collectors strive for and in this fine example, crystals to 1.9 cm form a fan-shaped aggregate laid flat and embedded across the dark gunmetal grey metallic matrix.  The Schneiderhöhnite is jet-black, highly lustrous and has an almost mica like appearance, although in long acicular-type crystals.  No crystals are terminated.  This is a rich specimen and one which clearly displays the Schneiderhöhnite to full advantage.
