As is typical of this site, the well-formed pyramidal-terminated Amethyst tip sits upon an opaque white 'stem'. The Amethyst crystal atop this piece shows areas, or zones, of a really intense gemmy purple, but what is almost nicer is the fact that this colour appears to occur in banded internal zones.
