{"product_id":"quartz-32","title":"QUARTZ","description":"Spectacular highly elongated, narrow, Rock Crystal-type Quartz crystals are clustered around the base of a long (15 cm) crystal, spraying off in random directions. The main crystal is well-terminated but is fractured across its lower end, hidden within the cluster, otherwise it would be even longer. Other crystals include an impressive doubly-terminated crystal (6.5 cm long) and one with a complex extended termination, where a narrow parallel crystal continues beyond the tip of the other crystal. Colourless and glassy, the crystals do show inclusion-rich areas. This habit of Quartz crystal is similar to those seen in many worldwide 'alpine-type' occurrences and although recorded simpy as from Gouveia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, there is a strong likelihood that this cluster comes from the well-known Anatase-Rutile occurrence nearby, but is exceptional for a Quartz from this area.
