The crystals of Pyromorphite are small (in the 1 mm range) and range from perfect hexagonal prisms, to globular forms with an overall appearance as being draped across a mixed matrix of Quartz and intensely oxidized Galena in stalactitic forms. Residual bright metallic Galena forms a core about which it has altered in banded layers from white, grey and pale yellow to green on the outer surface.
