The largest crystal extends to 1 cm in length, but most are much smaller. There is a little damage to parts of this aggregate but for a matrix-hosted specimen this is a quite large display of Proustite crystals from the famous historic Freiberg silver-mining district and presents well on its banded crystalline white Calcite. Beneath the Calcite lies rich Galena, Sphalerite and Pyrite, and there are a few smaller patches of Proustite sat on and within the Calcite too.
