Olivenite is known to form good crystals in the Tsumeb orebody, but these are exceptional, occurring as dark olive green crystal aggregates in sprays up to 1 cm wide and also forming composite globular crystals, all with a dazzling glassy lustre.  Surrounding the Olivenite are rich micro-crystalline druses of bright canary yellow Gartrellite, a rare lead-copper-iron arsenate.
