The complex array of Copper crystals are attached to a greenish-grey shard of diorite-type rock. Most of the herringbone structure has a crossed-branching structure forming a solid sheet which appears almost to have been woven.  In one area the branches curl back forming a 'Prince of Wales feather'-like structure.
