{"product_id":"melonite-1","title":"MELONITE","description":"Melonite is a very rare nickel telluride, and like most tellurides it is usually associated with gold-bearing rocks. This extremely large miniature specimen is from the comprehensive systematic collection assembled by the brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 \u0026amp; 1956-2021) and is from the famous Cresson mine at Cripple Creek, Colorado. Consisting of a pale greyish fine grained siliceous breccia with areas of rusty orange iron-staining, one tiny cavity is marked by a stuck-on arrow, presumably delineating where a crystal of Melonite is to be seen, but magnification is required. Nearby, and on the opposite side of the specimen too (shown in the video) further cavities contain flashes of bright metallic gold, which is presumed to be Native Gold, but which is not recorded on the label. Melonite specimens are known to be extremely rare from this iconic mine, and although the arrowed crystal is small there is potential for other interesting minerals to be present within this good-sized piece.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46792451424431,"sku":"CC29607","price":150.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC29607.png?v=1782818200","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/melonite-1","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
