{"product_id":"marialite","title":"MARIALITE","description":"Marialite is a rock forming mineral, a sodium aluminosilicate that forms a series with Meionite, the calcium end-member. This series is known as the Scapolite group and as chemical data is usually absent for individual crystals the term Scapolite is used frequently. In the Rubeho Mountains in the Morogoro Region of Tanzania Marialite is the dominate species, hence its attribution here. Normally, these rock-forming minerals are poorly crystallized and dull looking but rarely gem quality occurrences are made, as here. In fact, the most famous occurrences of gem Marialite and Scapolite are from the Morogoro Region, Tanzania. Crystals are rarely large, but their quality comes from their perfection as demonstrated extremely well by this lovely crystal. At 2.8 cm tall this is a significant gem crystal and is optically transparent and perfectly terminated. This material has the added bonus of being UV reactive, going from golden yellow in daylight, to pale blue under LW UV light and bright red under SW UV light. A world-class Marialite crystal for its form, size and gemminess. It is from the superb systematic collection assembled by brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 \u0026amp; 1956-2021).","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46545395286191,"sku":"CC27845","price":1500.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC27845.png?v=1770389061","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/marialite","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
