At 5.5 cm in diameter this 'ball' of Malachite is a really distinctive specimen. A little white Calcite can be seen on the reverse, but the wonderful spherical outline can be presented uninterrupted. Unusually, the acicular Malachite crystals have not grown outwards from one central point, but the surface is made up of hundreds of small feathery aggregates bunched together.
