The specimen has a sawn and polished flat base and a highly polished botryoidal top surface, with a bright, glossy lustre.  The Malachite forms many differently coloured areas varying from deep bottle-green to light peppermint and a mildly turquoise-green.  Nowadays such splendid examples of fine Malachite from the Urals are not easy to come by, making this a particularly rich and classic specimen.
