{"product_id":"malachite-108","title":"MALACHITE","description":"Malachite is a mineral known to produce weird and wonderful forms and large solid masses have been used to make any number of shapes and forms. However, this bizarre natural specimen really is something to talk about. It reminds me of something from a science-fiction film, or even something from the deep sea. Malachite stalactites are well-known from the famous L'Etoile du Congo mine, or Star of Congo mine, in Katanga Copper Crescent, Dem. Rep. of Congo but the form of these is most peculiar. Like green chimneys or snorkels, they rise up from a Quartz-Malachite matrix in the strangest of forms. The three tallest stalactites (that reach over 6 cm in length) rise vertically, with two merging to leave two ends, each with a hollow, tube-like opening. Another vertical stalactite has a remarkable fold in its centre, where it is doubled-over as if it has melted, leaving its end resting on the matrix. Other stalactites which are missing from the front of the base reveal somewhat squished internal tubes suggesting that during formation the stalactites were pressured or impacted by an external force. If there was competition for the strangest of mineral forms, then this cabinet-sized Malachite would certainly certainly get my vote, and yet it is beautiful too.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46793844752559,"sku":"CC54620","price":4500.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC54620.png?v=1781264811","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/malachite-108","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
