However, it has come to light that Privol'noye mine is a made-up western name, and that the material most likely came from Khachakchan Ag-Sb-Hg deposit, which is the Type Locality, where Lenaite was first described in 1995. As a polished block, the best way of viewing this specimen is through reflected light microscopy although most identification of these types of samples is now undertaken using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) with microprobe analysis.
