{"product_id":"langite","title":"LANGITE","description":"When one thinks of copper minerals from Cornwall one tends to overlook Langite, but Fowey Consols, near Tywardreath and Par is the Type Locality. Perhaps it is the simple fact that there are so few specimens available that it stays out of collectors' attention? Discovered underground in the mine during the mid-1800s, specimens are typically a form of flowstone composed of thousands of platy blue-green crystals. This miniature specimen is a very thick porous layer, or crust of Langite microcrystals, rather than the more usual thin crusts. The Langite passes from green to a much deeper blue green as the size of crystals increases. This specimen is well-traveled, accompanied by labels from Germany (Dr F. Krantz), Italy (Erberto Tealdi) and the USA (Dr David H. Garske) and was also owned by Jorg Pichler. The number label attached to the specimen is from its time in Italy. A superb example of this rarely seen Cornish classic.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46549843837103,"sku":"CC37352","price":1250.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC37352.png?v=1770646259","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/langite","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
