Even rarer, are completely uncut larger specimens. At 798 g, and complete all-round, this is a rare surviving uncut Gibeon meteorite for someone who treasures natural form, over prepared specimens. With its classic rounded, pitted surface texture caused during its entry into the Earth's atmosphere, and subsequent natural surface tarnish from being out in the desert, this has all of the hallmarks of a great original Gibeon meteorite. Dense, and tactile too, this would make a superb handling specimen for teaching or demonstration. At 4.5 Billion years old this would certainly be the oldest specimen in your collection!
