{"product_id":"hematite-var-kidney-ore-71","title":"HEMATITE var. Kidney Ore","description":"A true northern English classic from the now closed West Cumbrian iron mining district. It is sometimes difficult to imagine that this weird looking mineral is: a) natural, and; b) constituted the main ore of iron in those mines. This particularly displayable large specimen not only presents the botryoidal form for which this variety of Hematite get its 'Kidney ore' name especially well, but it shows the fascinating 'onion skin' texture too, whereby the individual layers of botryoidal Hematite peel away to expose internal banding and other identical layers. Occasionally, these layers are coated in a fine film of sparking black Specular Hematite, or the Hematite botryoids are much redder, and both are displayed by this magnificent specimen from the Florence-Ullcoats mine at Egremont. Ex Martin Kershaw Collection no. 281. At 6 kg in weight, additional postage charges may apply.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46793870377135,"sku":"CC56152","price":3500.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC56152.png?v=1784020570","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/hematite-var-kidney-ore-71","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
