Slightly resembling a large brain in form, the outer surface of the botryoids are covered in unusual small 'pimple'-like growths. This thin outer layer has peeled away in several small areas showing the more usual smoother botryoidal surface underneath. The whole specimen is made of layers of pure Hematite. A most instructive specimen worthy being a feature specimen on display.
