Consisting of many small (1 to 2 mm), black, octahedral crystals, the Hausmannite is sat on the surface of white Baryte. From a private German collection and originally from the University of Rostock and the University of Greifswald, the specimen is accompanied by an old handwritten label appearing to date from the 19th century.
