{"product_id":"geocronite-with-fluorite-and-sphalerite","title":"GEOCRONITE with FLUORITE and SPHALERITE","description":"Alongside the 2024 discovery of striking green cubo-octahedral Fluorite crystals at the remote Milpo mine in the Atacocha mining district, Pasco province, Peru was a small quantity of unusual lead sulphosalts, most notably Geocronite, or perhaps better described as Geocronite-Jordanite series as some reported analyses suggest that the crystals are mid-series, with compositions either side of the central boundary between As and Sb dominant. Very few specimens were found to display discernible crystals and even fewer undamaged crystals. This small cabinet sized specimen is extremely rich in Geocronite-Jordanite which forms a very extensive (7 x 6.5 cm in area) complex crystallized aggregate, made up of coalesced, large, stepped, hexagonal, gun-metal grey crystals covering pale green cubo-octahedral Fluorite crystals. The crystallized surfaces of the Geocronite-Jordanite are fascinating to observe, full of intricate patterns and detail. Small, dark brown to black, rounded Sphalerite crystals (to 4 mm in diameter) are sparsely scattered upon the Geocronite-Jordanite crystals and a couple of larger, golden Pyrite crystals are present too. Although the Fluorite is a little paler in colour than the very best from Milpo mine, it is nicely crystallized, and ultimately the importance of this specimen comes from being an extremely rich Geocronite-Jordanite from anywhere in the world.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46763600511151,"sku":"CC46656","price":800.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC46656.png?v=1776095994","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/geocronite-with-fluorite-and-sphalerite","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
