{"product_id":"galkhaite","title":"GALKHAITE","description":"Galkhaite is a fascinating species geochemically, containing mercury, copper, caesium. arsenic and sulphur and possibly also some thallium. Considering this unusual combination of elements it has been reported from over 20 localities worldwide but, and this is a big 'but', only one of them has produced notable crystals - and that is Getchell mine in Humboldt Co., Nevada, USA. It was found there in the early 1970s shortly after it was described as a new species in Russia, and although only a few mm in size, the deep wine-red cubic crystals were exceptional. Another find at Getchell mine, in the early 2000s, produced extremely rich crystallized specimens, with small cubic crystals scattered upon finely crystallized grey druzy Quartz. This very rich miniature specimen from the comprehensive systematic collection assembled by the brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 \u0026amp; 1956-2021) features many wine-red cubes of Galkhaite, to 1.5 mm on edge, upon finely crystallized Quartz. Normally, this species is only seen as micromount specimens with one or two Galkhaite crystals on display, so this is a lovely richer piece for those rare species enthusiasts out there.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46792444936367,"sku":"CC29309","price":200.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC29309.png?v=1782818104","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/galkhaite","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
