This is great paragenetic material, showing the order in which the minerals were deposited. Finely crystallized toffee-coloured Siderite is first, coating rock matrix. Galena crystals, many of which reach over 1 cm across, are next and are extremely well-formed modified crystals with truncated corners and frequent twinning. Finely crystallized sugary Calcite forms a partial overgrowth upon the Galena, showing preferential development on certain crystal faces. Sphalerite and Chalcopyrite are recorded too, but I have to confess that they are not immediately apparent to me, but the quality of the three other species is exceptional, with no obvious damage to be seen.
