Overlooked in favour of the brightly coloured, glassy, spectacular colour-zoned crystals. However, these darker coloured crystals still make very nice crystallized display specimens, this small cabinet-sized piece featuring intergrown cubic crystals to 3.4 cm on edge. These crystals, as with nearly all of this dark purple variety, show a distinctive rough surface texture caused by many tiny cubic crystal faces. There is some light rubbing along the edges of one ore two crystals and some tiny chipped corners, but these are not so obvious due to the dark colour of the Fluorite and it still presents nicely.
