This specimen is from the granite pegmatite located on Davib Ost Farm 61, near to Karibib in the Erongo Region of Namibia.  The crystals are transparent, if a little cloudy and exhibit a hexagonal symmetry with an internal repeated stellate geometry, further highlighted by dark lilac near-surface colouration of the fluorite.  The primary crystal measures approximately 6.7 x 5.5 x 2.8 cm.  The bevelled prism faces are frosted yet reasonably transparent whereas the flattened, hexagonal pinacoids are pitted through natural etching and subsequently recrystallised with sub-mm glassy white Fluorite.  A superb and complex Fluorite of delightful colour from the famed Erongo Region of Namibia.
