{"product_id":"fluorite-1390","title":"FLUORITE","description":"The intensity of colour of the newly discovered green Fluorite from Milpo mine in the remote Atacocha mining district in Peru is remarkable, as amply demonstrated by this wonderful miniature specimen. What is special about this piece is its much brighter, glassy lustre, compared with many specimens from this mine. A pure aggregate of Fluorite, several intergrown octahedral to cubo-octahedral crystals dominate, displaying an unusual complexity to their crystal faces. The main, sloping pyramidal faces are intensely gullied, or pitted, but despite this light transmits wonderfully through the crystals to produce a superb rich green colour. Internally the Fluorite is perfectly transparent. The main crystal reaches 3 cm across at its widest point and although the whole base of the specimen is a fractured surface, the upper parts are really well crystallized and display really nicely. A very fine gemmy example from this important new discovery.
