{"product_id":"fluorite-110","title":"FLUORITE","description":"Of the many famous Fluorite mines scattered along the Weardale valley, the Fluorite from West Pasture mine, some 2 km north of Stanhope, is probably the most readily recognisable due to its striking characteristic apple-green colour.  Specimens from this mine never fail to please and the colour variation between specimens although subtle, is quite delightful.  In daylight the Fluorite is pale apple-green (West Pasture Fluorite does not fluoresce) and under artificial white light, becomes a more acidic apple-green.  The cubic crystals are up to 1.7 cm on edge and occur as single crystals only, as interpenetrant twins at this location are uncommon.  On display and well lit, the crystals can be seen to contain colour zoning.  However, on examination with a hand lens, the zoning becomes superb, revealing grey-green faces, apple-green outer zones interrupted by pencil-thin phantom edges of grass-green and delicate lemon cores.  An excellent Fluorite form West Pasture mine.  Please note: the colour in West Pasture Fluorite is liable to fade on prolonged exposure to light, so such specimens are best kept in drawers rather than a display cabinet.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46543060926639,"sku":"CC13723","price":2000.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC13723.png?v=1770305841","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/fluorite-110","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
