From the front it looks amazing, with multiple smaller narrow crystals growing up the sides in a 'classic' tourmaline style and with prominent natural vertical striations as growth lines. At its summit, the main 'crystal' splits into several wonderful sloping terminations. Its colour is very rich, but dappled, with some extremely dark cranberry-red areas , particularly around the terminations, and others much pinker with milky inclusions. On the other side, the prism is coated in a sweeping area of tiny Rubellite Elbaite crystals with a patch of white Albite near its base.
