Cleavelandite in this wonderfully charismatic miniature gem tourmaline from Brazil. The Elbaite crystals are unusually triangular in cross-section and this is accentuated by their exceptionally glossy, smooth, flat pinacoid terminations which are deep blue in colour compared to their paler, more translucent lower prism faces. The Albite crystals are largely broken fragmentary crystals, but the Elbaite crystals are in very fine condition and full of great distinctive character, especially with their shape.
