Both flat-lying and partially embedded within the specimen surface, the main Elbaite crystal, at 3.1 cm in length, is doubly-terminated with a flat pinacoid face at one end and a sloping termination at the other and grading from teal-blue at its base upwards through pinkish-red undertones. The second tourmaline, which is uniformly teal-blue is not complete, missing sections at either end as shown by the 'cylindrical' cast left behind in the Quartz matrix. The remaining section reaches 2.7 cm in length.
