Intergrown lustrous crystals of rich emerald green Dioptase cover the display face over a layer of light apple green, mixed Conichalcite and Duftite.  The largest Dioptase crystals measure to 1.3 cm, forming superb sharp crystals with a brilliant glassy lustre and a translucent outer shell.  Beneath this, incident light is scattered from internal reflective surface with an appearance of crumped emerald green metallic foil.  A later deposition of Dioptase has formed over the micro-crystals of Conichalcite and Duftite.  The long and narrow matrix is a creamy Dolomite mixed with reddish Goethite.
